In brief

IndexChex charges 1 credit per URL for standard submission and index checks, 60 credits per URL for instant submission and 5 credits per backlink monitor check. Jobs accept up to 10,000 URLs standard, 1,000 instant and 25,000 drip-fed over 1 to 30 days; scheduled re-checks run 1 to 5 days later.

Scope

This page lists the operating limits and unit costs of IndexChex as published by IndexChex as of October 2026. Each row corresponds to a fact on the claims and sources ledger. Where a figure is a measured result rather than a fixed limit, it is not on this page; those figures, and how they are produced, are on the methodology page.

Credit costs

ActionCreditsNotes
Standard URL submission1 per URLCompletes within 24 hours
Instant URL submission60 per URLFor same-day needs
Drip-feed submission1 per URLStandard submission spread over time
Index check1 per URLFour query forms per URL
Scheduled re-check1 per URLReserved at submission, returned if cancelled
Backlink monitor check5 per source/target pair per runPer cadence run

Converting credits to money depends on how they were bought. The per-URL cost table gives the dollar figure for every plan and pack, and the credit system page explains balances, rollover and expiry.

Job size limits

Job typeMaximum URLs per jobTime parameter
Standard submission10,000Within 24 hours
Instant submission1,000Minutes
Drip-feed submission25,0001 to 30 days
Index check10,000Results exportable to CSV

Jobs larger than the limit must be split. The drip-feed ceiling is higher because the same URLs are released in daily portions instead of all at once.

Submission options

OptionAllowed valuesCombination rules
Drip days1 to 30Cannot be combined with a scheduled re-check
Scheduled re-check delay1 to 5 daysCannot be combined with drip feed
Resubmission of missesOne click from check resultsCreates a new submission job

The re-check window is 1 to 5 days. Product documentation for standard jobs describes Googlebot crawling within minutes, indexing beginning 5 to 12 hours after the job completes, most indexed URLs appearing 24 to 48 hours after the crawl, and indexing being typically as complete as it will get by day 5. The upper bound of the window matches that last point. The scheduled checks page covers the feature in detail.

FAQ

What is the largest job IndexChex accepts?

A drip-feed job, which accepts up to 25,000 URLs spread over 1 to 30 days. Standard jobs and index-check jobs accept up to 10,000 URLs; instant jobs accept up to 1,000.

Can drip feed and a scheduled re-check be used on the same job?

No. The two options cannot be combined on one submission. A drip job can be checked afterwards with a separate index-check job.

How long does a standard job take?

Standard jobs complete within 24 hours. Product documentation describes indexing starting 5 to 12 hours after completion, with most indexed URLs appearing 24 to 48 hours after the crawl.

Is a scheduled re-check charged if it is cancelled?

No. The 1 credit per URL is reserved when the submission is created and returned if the scheduled check is cancelled.
