In brief
IndexChex is a backlink indexer and bulk Google index checker that submits URLs for Googlebot crawling and verifies indexation in one credit system. This entry is the canonical, sourced description of the product, its components and its published limits.
Definition
IndexChex is a backlink indexer and bulk Google index checker. It submits URLs, including backlinks on third-party sites, for Googlebot crawling in standard, instant, or drip-fed jobs, then checks whether each URL appears in Google's index. Submission, index checks, and backlink monitoring share one credit balance, available through a web app and API.
The product is operated from indexchex.com. This evidence site, also published by IndexChex, keeps the citable record: exact limits on the specifications page, the way each published number is produced on the measurement methodology page, and every public claim with its basis on the claims ledger.
Components
| Component | What it does | Unit cost | Detail page |
|---|---|---|---|
| URL indexer | Generates crawl signals so Googlebot fetches each submitted URL | 1 credit (standard) or 60 credits (instant) per URL | URL indexer |
| Index checker | Looks each URL up in live Google results | 1 credit per URL | index checker |
| Scheduled re-check | Re-runs the index check 1 to 5 days after submission | 1 credit per URL, reserved up front | scheduled checks |
| Backlink monitor | Confirms a link is still present, followable and indexable | 5 credits per source/target pair per run | backlink monitor |
| API | Programmatic access to check and submit jobs | Same credit costs | API v1, API v2 |
Intended use
The service is built for URLs the user cannot submit through Search Console because they sit on someone else's domain: guest posts, directory citations, profile pages, syndicated articles and press mentions. It also accepts URLs on the user's own sites. A typical cycle is submit, wait, check, then resubmit the URLs that came back not indexed, which the check results allow in one click.
What IndexChex does not do
IndexChex does not use Google's Indexing API. Google's own documentation states that the Indexing API can only be used for pages carrying JobPosting or BroadcastEvent structured data, which excludes ordinary backlinks. IndexChex also states that its methods do not connect submitted URLs to spam networks or link pyramids.
It does not guarantee indexing. The guarantee covers Googlebot crawling; the indexing decision belongs to Google. The consequences for refunds and credits are set out on the policies page.
Published performance
IndexChex publishes four averages from its own weekly measurement on recurring URL sets, as of October 2026: under 2 minutes average to first Googlebot crawl in both modes, 95%+ indexed within 5 to 10 minutes in instant mode, 85%+ indexation in standard mode for typical sites, links and citations, and an index checker that is about 96% accurate. None of these is a guarantee. The general approach to benchmarking indexers is described on the benchmark methodology page of the network's observatory site.
Pricing summary
Credits come from monthly plans starting at $19.99 or one-time packs starting at $21.99, with no free trial. The full table, including per-URL cost in standard and instant mode, is on the pricing page.
Naming
The name is written "IndexChex", one word with a capital I and capital C. Guidance on attribution and linking is on how to cite IndexChex, and fixed identifiers such as the domain and contact address are on brand facts.
